The unit is very easy to set up however it may require reseting to get the actual real time data. This required me to take the clip off power and then reattach. When this is done, real data starts appearing. The unit confirmed my mixture **** setup and the main jet fuel increase (richer) when throttling. However, the sniff stick did not fit inside my small diameter exhaust - CB 550K and CB 250N. I will need to fabricate a pipe for both bikes. Overall, a great unit for adjusting and understanding A/F ratio.
Excellent tool. I have never balanced a set of carburetors so I am a complete novice at using a tool like this. I had totally stripped and rebuilt the carburetors on my 1980 Suzuki Gs1000gt so they where a long way out. It was easy to set up and the instructions are easy to follow. It took me no time to get them balanced once I figured out which way to turn the adjuster screws.
That a great peace of gear, I've had it for 2 weeks and I've did my son's 2 Apilias , a mate's KTM 1290 super duke, my zx9r kawasaki and a 900 honda, love it, I'm 71
And have had a few carburetor synchronisation units, and in all those years, nothing comes close to how good this works, on both carbies and throttle bodies, it's so easy to use and accurate. Love it.
