The device will assess:
Live Battery Voltage - Confirm that the vehicle charging system is outputting the correct charging voltage.
Charge State - Battery the resting voltage.
Cold Cranking Current Amperage (CCA) estimate. The amount of current that the battery can deliver to the starter motor. This is useful as comparison to the rated CCA of the battery and a key metric in assessing the battery's remaining service life.
Cranking Performance - Measure the voltage drop during actual cranking. Low or degrading cranking voltage is a main contributor to cranking and starting problems.
Estimated life remaining - If a decline is developing it may be time to shop for a new battery.
